Seated Poses

Find a comfortable seated position and incorporate forward folds to elongate your spine while using your breath to reconnect and calm your body and mind. Seated poses are excellent for improving flexibility by stretching the legs—hamstrings, quadriceps, and calves—along with the back and the muscles around the pelvis, also known as the hips. It is believed that we store many emotions in our hips, making them one of the most important and complex areas of the body. Practicing seated yoga poses can enhance flexibility, strengthen muscles, and reduce stress.
